Potential For Severe Weather In The Forecast For City Of Elmhurst

The National Weather Service is forecasting the potential for periods of heavy rainfall through Sunday due to multiple rounds of thunderstorms. The City is preparing for the weather by checking storm drains in low-lying areas and will continue to monitor the forecast.

High-standing water in the roadways can create hazardous driving conditions. Motorists are urged to use caution and avoid flooded roads whenever possible. To minimize roadway flooding, the City does ask that residents keep storm drains near their home free of leaves and debris, if they are physically able to do so.
