Among the properties on tour are Elmhurst “landmarks,” dwellings on the National Register of Historic Places, and classic examples of architectural styles from the 1840s to the 1950s. This is a unique opportunity to see and hear about properties that make Elmhurst a special community.
The tour will feature many styles of architecture; making stops at buildings designed by world-famous architects Walter Burley Griffin, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Mies van de Rohe as well as local notables E. E. Roberts, Berkeley Brandt, H. G. Fiddelke, Harold Zook, and E. Norman Bridges.
