See Photos: York Girls Cross Country Shows Strong Performance
The Dukes varsity secured second out of 23 teams.

ELMHURST, IL – The York Dukes girls cross country team delivered a strong performance at the Lake Park Harvey Braus Invitational as they continue their push toward another 3A State Championship run.
In the Girls Varsity race, York secured 2nd place out of 23 teams, finishing behind Glenbard West of Glen Ellyn. Leading the way for the Dukes was Karlin Janowski, who clocked a time of 17:13.
The Girls Junior Varsity team placed 4th out of 23 teams, with Emma Cardenas the first Duke to cross the line. In the Girls Open race, Ada Noble led the way for York, helping the team to a 4th-place finish out of 19 teams.

York will return to action Wednesday at Berens Park against Oak Park-River Forest before traveling to Peoria for the Richard Spring Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 20th.
