Vaccines For Elmhurst Hospital Delayed
Hospital plans to vaccinate employees almost immediately after it gets supplies.

ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst Hospital was expecting a shipment of 1,950 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine Tuesday morning, according to a news release. Now, that shipment is set to come Thursday morning.
Vaccination of Elmhurst Hospital employees is planned to follow soon afterward. The Food and Drug Administration approved the vaccine last week.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the hospital has treated 1,089 patients for COVID-19. Of those, 127 have died at the facility. As of Monday, the hospital was treating 44 patients with the coronavirus, down by 25 percent from a week earlier.
