5 New Special Events Planned This Summer In Evanston
Councilmembers on Monday approved the 2024 list of special events requiring City Council approval.
EVANSTON, IL — Ahead of the sizzle of the summer special events in Evanston, councilmembers this week approved five fresh festivities as part of the city's calendar for 2024.
The array of activities, a mix of long-standing traditions and new additions, ranges from sports, to concerts, to cultural celebrations.
Other than block parties, any event with 250 or more people that requires a street closure or that takes place in a park requires City Council approval, as does as any event in a lakefront park with 150 or more participants.
