Evanston will glow with sound and spirit as Chicago a cappella presents Holidays a cappella at Nichols Concert Hall on Saturday, December 13 at 7:30 PM.
The ensemble of ten singers invites the community to get warm for the holidays with songs that glow with the comfort of hearth and home. The program features a signature mix of cherished classics and rare discoveries—from frosty favorites to festive music from sunnier corners of the world, including I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Let It Snow, and Good King Wenceslas, alongside Australian carols by William G. James and contemporary works by Gerald Cohen and Ross Edwards.
“For us, this season is about making rich connections through music — across borders, traditions, generations, and musical styles,” says Artistic Director John William Trotter.
The Evanston concert also supports Connections for the Homeless, with attendees invited to contribute essential supplies through the Winter Wellness Drive — spreading warmth throughout the community.
