DSP (Direct Support Professional) Part Time:
The Douglas Center is looking for a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist and support adults with developmental disabilities in areas of vocational skills training, developmental rehabilitation, social skills training, and community integration in our community day services program located in Skokie, Illinois.

The DSP will provide job coaching support to adults with developmental, intellectual and physical disabilities by teaching new job assignments that include but are not limited to: light manufacturing, assembly line, sewing, heat sealing, packaging and other work projects.
The DSP will track and monitor client production records, timecards, goals, and monitor client progress and behavior. The DSP will also assist individuals with daily living skills such as feeding, toileting and other personal care duties as needed.

Schedule/Work Hours: Monday Through Friday 1st shift (25 hours per week)
Typical schedule is 8:30a-1:30p or 9:30a-2:30 pm. No weekends or holidays required
Administrative Assistant - Part Time 25 hrs. per week:
Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager this part time position provides administrative support to various departments within the organization. Maintains front office reception desk and greets guests upon arrival. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, incumbent performs duties such as financial record keeping, payroll, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, assisting with marketing activities and working on special projects. Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. This position will be exposed to working with adults with developmental disabilities on a daily basis. Schedule : Monday through Friday 1st shift This is an hourly (non-exempt) part time position25 hours per week
Sewing Specialist - Part Time up to 25 hours per week:
The Douglas Center is seeking a part time Sewing Specialist to work on machines stitching uniforms The Sewing Specialist will be working on projects from the Department of Defense. Sewing projects include: garments, gun barrels, smocks, etc. The candidate should have prior sewing experience particularly working in a manufacturing industry. This is a part time position working Monday through Friday up to 25 hours per week. Work hours are flexible. Must be available between 8am-4pm.
Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalent education. One year experience with sewing garments in a manufacturing setting or similar area.
Case Manager - QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) - Full Time Position:
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) plays a vital role in the support services provided to The Douglas Center program participants.
***The QIDP will coordinate and facilitate Implementation Strategy (I.S.) meetings with interdisciplinary team members for assigned program participants on a yearly basis.
***Create, monitor and modify implementation strategy plans and goals as needed.
***Assess and conduct trial periods for new potential clients entering the program to determine appropriate placement, in collaboration with Director of Clinical Services.
***Complete monthly progress reports for assigned caseload.
***Train direct care staff on I.S., behavior plans and data collection to provide outstanding care and service to program participants.
***Be a representative of The Douglas Center between parents/guardians, residential providers, ISSA, caseworkers and other external parties.
***Facilitate weekly groups for program participants.
***Attend continue education opportunities in the field of health and human services to enhance knowledge. To provide quality support services to all program participants and maintain license.
***Must obtain a minimum of 12 continuing education units per year through educational and development programs related to the profession.
***The QIDP may assist in direct care duties when needed and provide guidance to direct care staff in the areas of client care and support services.
***Full time position working Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. No weekends, holidays or on-call duties required.
***Training to become QIDP certified is available.
***Weekly clinical supervision is available for those who want to obtain their LCSW or LCPC license.
***Must be a team player and willing to collaborate.
