E2 Apartments Offer Wow! Living While Renting
Newly opened, E2 Apartments in Evanston boast indoor basketball court, swimming pool and movie theater.
A full-size basketball court, swimming pool, Wi-Fi Center and home movie theater are common among mansions we like to refer to Wow! Houses on the North Shore. But a newly opened high-rise development in the heart of Evanston is offering all that and the convenience of living the apartment life.
E2 Apartments, at 1890 Maple Ave. in Evanston, epitomizes that Wow! factor, according to Randy Fifield - owner of Fifield Companies.
“When you walk in you feel immediate luxury,” Fifield said. “You don’t see apartments like this on the North Shore that offer luxury and this amount of space.”

She says the most popular amenities in the month or so the building has been home to residents are the indoor basketball court and amenity level, which offers billiards among other games.
“The court is perfect for the winter. You can walk into the gym and shoot some hoops or play volleyball and not even be exposed to the elements,” she says. “The Wi-Fi Center is an easy way to entertain people. You can truly feel like you have a 10,000 square-foot home but only have to pay rental price.”

Rents range from $1,400 a month for some studios to $4,100 for the finest three bedroom units.
Designed by Chicago-based FitzGerald Associates Architects, the general programming of the building is smart too. All interior design and architecture was performed by Evanston-based Morgante Wilson Architects.
“The rich textures of wood, granite and leather really add to this atmosphere of luxury,” Fifield said. “Morgante really nailed it. Whether you are living in a studio or living large, it can all be done here.”
Which makes E2 perfect for a recent college grad, empty nester or even those raising a family.
“The layouts are conducive to any type of living,” Fifield said. “The bathrooms are large, we have great closets. It’s special. There isn’t anyone who’s been in here who hasn’t said ‘Wow.’”

E2 is the first complex owned by Fifield Cos. outside of downtown Chicago. That’s due to the urban factor and strong walk score prevalent in the city of Evanston.
“We loved the walk score, that there’s theaters closy by, a University and Whole Foods,” Fifield said. “We want to be able to tell the suburban story and show you can go from Gap to Gucci.”
It could also be that “next stop” for someone looking to unload their mansion but want to remain living the high life on the North Shore.
“There aren’t too many options for people who want to downsize but stay on the North Shore,” Fifield said. “E2 is an opportunity to live efficiently and large without having to take care of it all.”

From top to bottom, E2 is impressive. The game room, basketball court, massage table and outdoor swimming pool make it like a vacation at home. At the highest level, you get great views of Lake Michigan and Chicago while seeing as far west as the village of Glenview’s water tower.
The rooms themselves are fit for a happy lifestyle. Windows all around with spacious walking room in all units make them perfect for anyone who likes to live on the run.
See for Yourself!
A designer showcase, the first known event of its kind in Evanston, is planned for E2 from May 5-7.
Multiple model apartments fully-furnished from area designers such as World Market, Staging North Shore and Morgante Wilson will be on display during select times for three days.
A similar showcase held at Fifield Companies’ K2 Apartments in Chicago a few years back drew more than 1,500 participants.
