Evanston Art Therapy Organization Names New CEO

The Institute for Therapy through the Arts helps individuals heal and grow through the power of creative arts.

EVANSTON, IL — The Institute for Therapy through the Arts, a nonprofit organization focused on providing mental health care through creative arts, will have a new CEO starting next month.

Current CEO Chrissy Dale is transitioning to a new role in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as the executive director at Laughlin Children's Center, and her last day will be Aug. 29. ITA's next CEO will be Jeffrey Wolfe, the organization's current COO.

Wolfe will begin working as CEO starting Sept. 1.

“Jeff’s strategic vision, client focus, and deep grounding in Creative Arts Therapy make him the ideal choice to lead ITA into the future,” said Tracy Canter, Chair of ITA’s Board of Directors. “Chrissy’s steady leadership has positioned ITA well for the next 50 years, and we are deeply grateful for her impact. I have been honored to serve on the Board for the past nine years and to work with Jeff in various capacities—most recently as COO. With 15 years of experience at ITA, he brings not only strong leadership but also a visionary mindset that will guide the organization forward. I look forward to working with him in this new role.”
