Evanston Extend Hours For Tax Collection

Morton Center stays open later to help residents pay taxes by Dec. 15 deadline.

The City of Evanston’s Revenue Office will be open for extended hours on select dates to allow residents to pay their wheel tax and purchase residential parking permits for 2015.

The deadline to pay the wheel tax and purchase parking permits is Monday, Dec. 15.

The City Collector’s Office, located on the first floor of the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 1 and 8 and on Wednesday, Dec. 3 and 10.

The office will also be open on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition to dates with extended hours, the Morton Civic Center’s Collector’s Office is regularly open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wheel tax payments may also be made at the Levy Senior Center and Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, and at Evanston-based currency exchanges.

Residential parking permits may not be purchased at these locations. Office hours for the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave., are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Office hours for Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St., are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
