Evanston Library's North Branch to Shutter Until Late August

Patrons wanting to visit the The North Branch of the Evanston Public Library should do so before the weekend, when it will close for about a month to undergo renovations.

Among improvements planned for the July 31 to Aug. 29 time frame are those increasing energy efficiency such as new lighting, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, according to Evanston RoundTable.

The book drop at the branch, 2026 Central St., will not be available during the closure.
