Evanston Man Charged With Burglary On Dempster

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department.

Arrests: Warrant, Burglary, Cannabis

Demenyon Dimitry Chism, 18, of the 2000 block of West Birchwood in Chicago, was arrested on a warrant at 5:14 p.m. Saturday, June 8, in the 7500 block of Hoyne Street, according to police. 

Bobbie Anthony Clark, 44, of the 1800 block of Lake Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with burglary Monday, June 10, in the 800 block of Dempster Street, police reported.

Dominic Alan Connerly, 21, of the 6600 block of South Union in Chicago, was arrested and charged with disobedience to police at 3:20 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the 1800 block of Lyons Street, police reported.

Dejuan T. Drew, 26, of the 1400 block of Cleveland in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 7:50 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the police station, according to police. 

A 45-year-old Wheeling man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, June 9, at Greenleaf and Ashland, police reported.

Jordan O’Neal Johnson, 20, of the 1500 block of Pitner in Evanston, was arrested and charged with disobedience to police at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, in the 1800 block of Crain Street, according to police. 

Layton J. Jones, 20, of the 2400 block of Church Street in Evanston, was arrested on a warrant at his home at 8:01 p.m. Friday, June 7, according to police.

A 27-year-old Evanston man was arrested at his home and charged with domestic battery at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, June 6, according to police.

Jerell Deon Williams, 22, of the 2100 block of Dewey in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 7:48 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the 600 block of Oakton Street, police reported.

A 44-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 5:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, at his home, according to police.

Gunfire Reported Near ETHS

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun around 4 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue. Nothing was found in the area. 

Theft: Cell Phone, Charcoal Grill

Four men stole a Samsung cell phone in a purple case that was left unattended in a park in the 300 block of Dodge Avenu around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 9, according to police. 

Someone stole a Smoke Joe short charcoal grill from the gangway of an apartment in the 600 block of Sheridan Road between 8 p.m. Sunday, June 9, and 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, police reported. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone broke several basement windows of an apartment in the 100 block of Hartrey Avenue at 2:42 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013, according to police.

Someone damaged a tree in a yard in the 2600 block of Grant Street between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8, police reported.

Someone broke the rear windshield wiper of a 2006 Acura between 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, and 10 a.m. Sunday, June 9, in the 2400 block of Orrington Avenue, according to police.
