Evanston Police Department To Host Halloween Book Drive

EVANSTON, IL — The Evanston Police Department will host a Halloween book drive this Thursday, and the community is encouraged to take part.
Police are asking residents to bring a new or gently used children's book and get a free treat in the process.

The book drive will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the police department, which is at 1454 Elmwood Avenue.
The books will be donated to a local nonprofit organization serving children and families, according to the police department.

Because this is an outdoor event, masks and social distancing will be required.
