Evanston Skate Park Construction To Begin In July
City staff said the project is expected to be complete by the end of the year.

EVANSTON, IL — A six-month construction project to build a new skate park in Evanston is expected to begin in July.
Located on the east end of Twiggs Park, south of the North Shore Channel and west of Green Bay Road, the new, 10,000-square-foot skating facility will built out of custom cast-in-place concrete, according to city staff.
In addition to skating surfaces and obstacles, the project includes pathways, seat walls, security lighting, new landscaping, drainage facilities and a shade structure.

"Construction activities may create some inconveniences for adjacent residents but attempts will be made to minimize these issues," according to a public works newsletter.
