Evanston Spring Bulk Garbage Pickup Schedule For April
Spring 2025 bulk trash pickups will take place on Fridays, April 4 through 25, and are scheduled according to residents' normal pickup day.

EVANSTON, IL — The City of Evanston is offering free removal of bulk garbage items this spring, starting April 4.
Condo buildings and residents that are billed for refuse collection services are eligible to participate in the pickup program. Residents can discard up to 6 cubic yards of bulk garbage.

- Monday will be Friday, April 4
- Tuesday will be Friday, April 11
- Wednesday will be Friday, April 18
- Thursday will be Friday, April 25
All bulk garbage must meet the following guidelines:
- Items must be less than six cubic yards per household, which is roughly equivalent to a love seat and chair, or one mattress and box spring, or 25 medium garbage bags.
- Items must be placed on the alley line or in the parkway, whichever is the resident's regular refuse collection area, in an orderly fashion by 7 a.m. on the bulk pickup day
- Absolutely no electronics, construction materials, tires, appliances or hazardous materials will be collected. Hazardous materials include batteries, gas, oil, asbestos, pesticides, medical wastes and paint.
- Bulk trash cannot be placed out until the weekend, prior to a residences scheduled bulk pickup day.
- Glass should be broken up, boxed, taped and labeled as glass.
