Evanston Wants Your Feedback on Fountain Square
Submit suggestions via Instagram, at special mailboxes or with a 'tip' in a tip jar at participating businesses. Kids can color their ideas.

The following is from the City of Evanston:
The City of Evanston is seeking input from community members on ways to renovate and improve Fountain Square.
This area includes Sherman Plaza; Sherman Avenue, between Church and Davis Streets; and adjacent landscape areas. The updated plaza will still have a fountain centerpiece and serve as a veterans memorial, however, community members are invited to share input on additional amenities and activities they would like to see accommodated in the area.

As a part of the visioning process, Sherman Ave. will be closed to all vehicular traffic between Church and Davis Streets from Saturday, October 25 through Monday, October 27 for the City’s Halloween and Harvest special events. The events will transform the Fountain Square Plaza into a large creative playscape for community members of all ages to enjoy, while envisioning the plaza’s renovation potential.

- Follow @CityofEvanston on Instagram, tag us in your photo, and use #MyFountainSquare to share your visual ideas.
- Leave a message at one of the brightly colored mailboxes located around Fountain Square in Downtown Evanston.
- Visit one of the participating businesses to leave a ‘tip’ in the tip jar. To help community members identify which businesses are participating, signs will be posted in their storefront window.
- Get the kids involved! Coloring pages can be found at the main Evanston Public Library and Evanston History Center, and can be downloaded online at cityofevanston.org/myfountainsquare. To submit your ideas, bring completed coloring pages to Fountain Square during one of the scheduled events, October 25-27.
The deadline to submit all comments and suggestions is Friday, November 21. Comments will be used to develop four conceptual visions of Fountain Square, which will be revealed in early 2015.
