Evanston Woman, 87, Loses Lawsuit to Donald Trump

A jury decided against an Evanston woman who sued Donald Trump, alleging that he sold her two $1 million condos in the Trump Tower in a bait-and-switch deal, according to Crain's.

Jacqueline Goldberg, 87, told the jury that Trump had promised her a share of the building's profits if she purchased the two condos, then reneged on the deal, Crain's reported. 

Speaking to reporters after the trial, Goldberg said anyone going into business with Trump should be careful to "read the contract," according to the Chicago Tribune.

“I had to do it,” she told the Tribune. “I had to try.”
