Evanston Woman, 87, Loses Lawsuit to Donald Trump

A jury decided in favor of Donald Trump Wednesday after an 87-year-old Evanston woman sued him, alleging that he sold her two $1 million condos in the Trump Tower with a promise of a share in the building's profits--then reneged on the deal.

Jacqueline Goldberg, 87, told the jury that Trump had promised her a share of the building's profits if she purchased the two condos, then reneged on the deal, Crain's reported

Speaking to reporters after the trial, Goldberg said anyone going into business with Trump should be careful to "read the contract," according to the Chicago Tribune.
