Evanston's Underway Asphalt Patching Will Fix 123 City Sites in 3 Weeks
The work kicked off on Monday and is expected to improve the condition of 26,000 square yards of pavement at 123 locations around the city.

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston crews began patching large areas of asphalt pavement across the city this week as part of a seasonal roadway face-lift that's expected to take about three weeks.
The work kicked off on Monday and is estimated to improve the condition of 26,000 square yards of pavement at 123 locations around the city. Crews are removing the top two inches of distressed pavement and/or potholes and replacing it with a fresh, smooth asphalt surface. Street will be immediately ready for traffic following their sections' completion.
"Drivers should expect short delays in specific work zones as flaggers route traffic around (workers)," a city alert said. "'No Parking' restrictions will be short in duration and specific to each work area."
