Fireworks Near Me: Evanston's July 4th 2022

Here is your complete guide to Independence Day fireworks shows, parades and other celebrations in and around Evanston.

EVANSTON, IL — Cities and towns around the nation have this year revived many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified during the past two years. With July 4 now less than a week away, it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

The Evanston Fourth of July Association marks the 100th anniversary of its founding this year. The nonprofit association was established after a child was injured while playing with fireworks a century ago.

All city community centers, recreational facilities and public library locations will be closed Monday for the holiday. The Levy Senior Center and Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center will also be closed on Sunday.
