Folkworks Gallery Closed, Shop For Rent
The gallery at 1310 1/2 Chicago Ave. closed after more than two decades in business in Evanston.
Folkworks Gallery at 1310 1/2 Chicago Ave. in Evanston has closed, and a sign on the door says the shop is for rent.
The gallery will continue selling some folk art online, and will open a "pop-up shop" in Evanston this November and December, according to its website.
Owners Paul and Cease Giddings opened the store more than 20 years ago to focus on American folk art, according to the website.
