Report of Shots Fired
Evanston police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at Dodge Avenue and Church Street at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, according to police. Nothing was found in the area.
Garages Burglarized On Thayer
Someone stole cash from an unlocked garage in the 2500 block of Thayer Street around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, according to police.
Someone stole a yellow men's Trek bike with a 22.5" frame from an unlocked garage in the 2500 block of Thayer Street between 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, and 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, police reported.
Arrests: Retail Theft, Criminal Trespass
was arrested and charged with retail theft after he stole food from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Main Street at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, police reported.
Jenny B. Hameed, 40, of the 1400 block of Chicago Ave. in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue, according to police.
Man Swipes Cell Phone at Business
A man stole an Apple cell phone in a black and yellow flowered case from a table at a business in the 1300 block of Chicago Avenue between 5:30 and 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, according to police.
Garbage Can Goes Missing
A city of Evanston green yard waste garbage can was taken from a yard in the 1500 block of Wesley Avenue at 9 a.m. Friday, May 31, police reported.
Retail Theft: Food, Grill
A woman stole food from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Main Street between 5:21 and 5:32 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, according to police.
A woman stole a grill from a chain pharmacy in the 900 block of Dodge Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, police reported.
