Images Of Gunman In Evanston Shooting Released
Photos show the shooter who opened fire in the parking lot of the McDonald's on Dempster Street, police said.

EVANSTON, IL — Police released images of the gunman in Thursday's shooting in the parking lot of an Evanston McDonald's.
Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the fast food franchise at 1919 Dempster St. shortly after 4 p.m. for a report that a masked shooter was firing a gun at a silver Honda in the parking lot.
Police said the gunman fled on foot and the driver of the victim's car managed to flee the area and call 911.

The Honda was met by police and paramedics in the 1100 block of Lake Street. A 23-year-old Evanston man was struck by bullets in the upper body, police said.
His wounds were not considered life-threatening and he has since been released from the hospital. According to police, the shooting appears to have been a targeted attack.

One of the images released by police show the alleged shooter fleeing through the parking lot of the nearby Starbucks. He was described as wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and a mask.
Police asked anyone with information to contact detectives.
