Kids Get 2 Free Meals A Day This Summer In Evanston
This summer, the City of Evanston is offering two free meals a day to local youth.

EVANSTON, IL — Starting next week, kids in Evanston can get two free meals a day through the city's summer food program.
The Evanston Parks and Recreation Department will provide free breakfasts and lunches to kids ages 1 to 18 from June 9 to Aug. 8. Meals will be available Monday through Friday on a first-come, first-served basis.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meals must be consumed on-site and guardians must accompany young children.

The program doesn't have any restrictions based on income or residency. The program will not operate on June 19 or July 4.

- Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St.
- Robert Crown Community Center, 1801 Main St.
- Mason Park, Church St. at Florence Ave.
- Dawes School, 440 Dodge Ave.
Menus will be available on site at each location and at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center.
The summer food service program is funded by a grant from the Illinois State Board of Education.
