Known Offender Steals Handgun

A known offender stole a 9-millimeter SAR Arms handgun from a home in the 2000 block of Dodge Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. Sunday, April 7, according to police.

Gunfire Reported at Simpson and Darrow

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at the intersection of Simpson Street and Darrow Avenue at 8:33 p.m. Monday, April 8, according to police. No evidence of gunfire was found in the area, police said.

Arrests: DUI, Possession of Cannabis, Etc.

Stevina R. Barbray, 27, of the 1600 block of Monroe in Evanston, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property after she allegedly broke a glass door in the 1700 block of Washington Street at 6:39 p.m. Sunday, April 7, according to police.

Andre Carl Fort, 43, of the 1700 block of Emerson in Evanston, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at 10:50 a.m. Monday, April 8, at his home, police said. 

Angel Sanchez, 23, of the 5400 block of South Richmond in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 2:15 a.m. Monday, April 8, in the 500 block of Chicago Avenue, according to police. 

Car Break-Ins Reported On Cowper, Thayer

Someone broke into a 2009 Toyota that was parked in the 2300 block of Cowper Street between 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, and 8 a.m. Friday, April 5, according to police. 

Someone stole a pair of Ray Ban aviator sunglasses from an unlocked 2002 Chevrolet parked in the 2700 block of Thayer Street between 10:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, and 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, police reported. 

Man Steals Franzia, Cinnamon, T-shirt

A man stole a jar of cinnamon, a bottle of Franzia wine and a T-shirt from a department store in the 2400 block of Main Street at 6:34 p.m. Saturday, April 6, police reported. 

Thieves Steal Purse, Wallet

Someone stole a purse with its contents that was left unattended at a bar in the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue at 1 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, according to police. 

Someone stole a Levi wallet and its contents from a locked gym locker in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 7 and 9 p.m. Friday, March 5, police reported.
