Evanston, IL (Apr. 25, 2024) — Double Clutch Brewery, located at 2121 Ashland Ave. in Evanston, IL, is thrilled to announce its latest triumph at the prestigious 2024 World Beer Cup® held in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Apr. 24.

The World Beer Cup® is the largest beer competition in the world hosted by the Brewers Association (BA), and Double Clutch Brewery's Altbier claimed the Bronze medal in the highly competitive category of German-style Altbier, outshining 44 formidable entries.

This victory marks the brewery's inaugural international award, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to quality that defines Double Clutch Brewery. The bronze-winning brew, Double Clutch Brewery's Altbier, boasts a distinguished 4.7% alcohol by volume (ABV). This medium-bodied, amber-colored ale pays homage to the rich brewing heritage of Düsseldorf, Germany. In a time when many European breweries gravitated towards lighter Pilsners, the brewers of Düsseldorf remained steadfast in their dedication to darker malts, resulting in what is affectionately known as the "old beer" ale.

Inspired by the traditional malty ales of the region, the Altbier exemplifies Double Clutch Brewery's commitment to authenticity and innovation.

Founded in 2021, Double Clutch Brewery has quickly become a beloved destination for beer enthusiasts in Evanston and beyond.
