Hartigan’s Ice Cream Shoppe:
Hartigan’s Ice Cream Shoppe at 2909 Central St. just installed a brand new showcase to hold up to 30 cakes and 100 quarts of ice cream. But Hartigan's ice cream pizza might be the true eye-catcher in the case. The dessert has an ice cream base surrounded by a chocolate cake crust with fudge topping and a butter cream top. The pizza is divided into eight slices, each decorated with a different topping.

Andy’s Frozen Custard:
Andy’s Frozen Custard, at 719 Church St., sticks to the classics with its chocolate and vanilla custard flavors. But customers can add some flair to the classic flavors with the blended concretes. One creative concrete is called James Brownie Funky Jackhammer, which is custard blended with peanut butter, brownie and hot fudge.
Red Mango:
Red Mango, at 809 Davis St., routinely switches up its frozen yogurt flavors, but one of its most interesting choices was called Aztec Chocolate, which is a cinnamon chocolate flavored frozen yogurt.
