Missing Northwestern Professor Found Alive In Evanston
Missing Northwestern University professor Nina Kraus was found and taken to a local hospital Tuesday afternoon.

EVANSTON, IL — A missing Northwestern University professor was found Tuesday afternoon, a day after she left on a walk from her Evanston home.
The Evanston Police Department announced School of Communications professor Nina Kraus was located before 5 p.m. and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The woman who said she found Kraus told CBS Chicago she went out to look for the professor and found her in a wooded area in her neighborhood.

According to the university, Kraus was last seen leaving her home in Evanston in the 1500 block of Ashland Avenue at around 9 a.m. Monday. Family members said Kraus did not take her phone with her.
The Evanston Police Department began ground searches on Monday and utilized drones near the lakefront Tuesday morning as part of the investigation.
