Piccolo Theatre Plans to Relocate from Evanston Metra Station

Growing theatre company is seeking a new performance space for the 2016-17 season.

EVANSTON, IL - The Piccolo Theatre will be in residency through this year's Custer Fair (June 18 & 19th) and is planning to relocate after August 1st. The theatre's home base has been the Main Street Metra station in Evanston for the past dozen years.

Piccolo's marketing director, Joshua Allard, says the group is negotiating to move its offices to a new location in south Evanston and will announce the venue, or venues, for future performances when it unveils its 2016-17 season in May.

Allard says the 50+ seat black-box performance space in the train station now presents "more limitations than opportunities" for the growing theater company.
