A fight broke out between moviegoers at Century Theaters Monday night. John S. Johnson, 37, of Chicago Ridge was watching a movie with his son but also texting on his phone, to the annoyance of the spectators behind him. The man sitting behind him began kicking Johnson's seat and his girlfriend asked the manager to get him to stop texting. Police said Johnson had been drinking and the dispute escalated, with Johnson grabbing the other man and slamming him against the wall for making the complaint. Police arrested and charged Johnson with battery at 10:15 p.m. on March 14 at the corner of Clark Street and Maple Avenue.
