Police: Burglar Caught Fleeing Scene of Crime
Evanston police arrested a 59-year-old Chicago man Monday after a witness saw him crawling through a window in a business in the 500 block of Lee Street.

Police say they arrested a 59-year-old Chicago man Monday night after a witness saw him crawling through the window of a local business, then running away on foot.
Anthony Gordon, of the 300 block of North State Street, was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools, both felonies.
A witness spotted Gordon leaving a business the 500 block of Lee Street around 3 a.m. Monday. When police arrived, they found Gordon not far away, in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue, and the witness identified him as the man he had seen, police said.

At the time of his arrest, Gordon had coins he had stolen from a jar in the business, several tools and a flashlight, according to police.
