Patrons at the Century 12 Theater were in for a twist on Tuesday afternoon, when a power outage in downtown Evanston halted projectors and cancelled movie showtimes. A crowd of people gathered at the corner of Church Street and Maple Avenue while ComEd crews investigate the source of the outage. According to the ComEd website, at least three separate outages were affecting downtown Evanston. <a href="https://www.comed.com/_layouts/comedsp/OutageMap.aspx" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Power was expected to be restored by Tuesday evening</a>.
