Robber Holds Up Woman at Gunpoint

A man demanded a woman’s property while holding a semi-automatic pistol between 6:55 and 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Darrow and Church Street, according to police.

Gunfire Reported Near ETHS

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at Dodge Avenue and Church Street at 7:33 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. Nothing was found in the area.

Arrests: Assault, Battery, Cannabis Possession

Ismail A. Djareche, 39, of the 500 block of West 14th Place in Chicago, was arrested and charged with simple assault at 6:04 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue, according to police.

A 21-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at the police station on Friday, Oct. 24, according to police.

Luis Hernandez, 58, of the 300 block of Howard Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with simple battery outside his home at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, according to police.

Sean M. Logan, 21, of the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 5:41 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in the 1700 block of Simpson Street, according to police.

Michael James Woods, 41, of the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he stole alcohol from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 11:34 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, police reported.

Dodge Grand Caravan Stolen On Greenleaf

Someone stole a dark blue 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan with the license plate N117155 from the 2100 block of Greenleaf Street between 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, according to police.

Attempted Burglary Reported On Forrest

Someone damaged the door of a home in the 1000 block of Forrest Avenue between 12 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, and 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, according to police.

Two Thefts Reported at Hilton Orrington

A guest of the Hilton Orrington reported that someone stole four rings, five necklaces, two bracelets, a pair of earrings and a dolphin charm from an unlocked safe in their room between 8 and 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, police reported.

Someone also stole an Apple T-Mobile cell phone from the front desk at the Hilton Orrington between 9 and 9:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, according to police.

Bikes Stolen On Oak, Foster

Someone stole a black and blue Jamis bicycle with white handlebars from a bike rack on a car parked in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue between 9 and 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, according to police.

Someone stole a Nishiki men’s bicycle that was locked up to a porch in the 1100 block of Foster Street at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, police reported.

Package Stolen from Porch

Someone stole a FedEx package containing a tambourine that was delivered to a porch in the 2100 block of Cleveland Street between 4 and 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, according to police.

Retail Theft: Vera Bradley Backpack, Fruit

Someone stole a Vera Bradley backpack with its contents from a store in the 2400 block of Howard Street at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, according to police.

A woman stole strawberries and bananas from a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 5:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, according to police.

A man and a woman stole Absolut and Ketel One liquor from a grocery store in the 2700 block of Green Bay Road around 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, according to police.

A man stole a ZTE cell phone from a business in the 300 block of Howard Street at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, police reported.

Graffiti Appears On Construction Site

Graffiti appeared on a construction site in the 2600 block of Gross Point Road around 10:07 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, police reported.
