Robber Pushes Woman, Steals Purse

A man pushed a woman, then stole her black shoulder strap purse with a golden lock at 9:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the 500 block of Lee Street police reported.

Arrests: DUI, Possesion of a Stolen Vehicle

David Nathan Anderson, 50, of the 1900 block of Touhy in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 6:32 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Dempster Street and Dodge Avenue, according to police.

Piers S. Giles, 25, of the 1900 bock of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault Monday, Oct. 21, in the 1700 block of Grey Avenue, according to police.

Jason C. Lott, 31, of the 2000 block of West Chase in Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle at 11:39 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in the 2600 block of West Jarleth in Chicago, according to police.

Kara Lynn Traylor, 25, of the 100 block of Dewey in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 5:51 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue, police reported.

Burglars Steal Laptop On Oakton

Someone entered a home in the 800 block of Oakton Street through a sliding glass door and stole a Toshiba laptop computer and charger between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, according to police.

Catalytic Converter Stolen On Greenleaf

Someone stole a catalytic converter from a 2008 Chevrolet parked in the 2100 block of Greenleaf Street between 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, and 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, according to police.

Car Burglar Takes Laptop

Someone stole a Dell silver laptop with charger from a 2007 Subaru left unlocked in the 700 block of Central Street between 11:22 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, and 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, police reported.

Bike Stolen On Cleveland

Someone stole a royal blue and white Schwinn ladies bicycle that was left unlocked in the 1100 block of Cleveland Street between 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, and 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, police reported.

iPhone Stolen From Restaurant

A woman stole an iPhone in a black and pink-flowered case that was left unattended at a restaurant in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue between 1:05 and 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, according to police.

Wallet Stolen From Purse at Church

A man stole a black wallet with its contents from a purse left unattended at a church in the 500 block of Church Street around 11:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, police reported.

License Plate Stolen On Elmwood

Someone stole the front license plate from a Dodge vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue at 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, according to police.

Vehicle Damaged On Hartrey

Someone damaged the hood, roof and quarter panels of a 2007 Nissan parked in the 1200 block of Hartrey Avenue between 6:30 and 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, according to police.
