Sketchbook Brewing Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Want to help Evanston's new community supported nanobrewery?

Evanston’s Sketchbook Brewing has launched a Kickstarter campaign to buy two stainless steel fermenters for its soon-to-open Chicago Ave. location. The fermenters are the last big expense needed before brewing can start.

Sketchbook is the brainchild of Shawn Decker and Cesar Marron, who met in Evanston’s Homebrew Club. Marron won Sam Adams’ LongShot homebrewing competition last year for his Polish wheat beer.

Sketchbook aims to produce small-batch beers, with a focus on sustainable practices and strong ties to the community.

The Kickstarter campaign is seeking to raise $15,000 in a month. You can get in on the action for as little as $10, which will earn you a sticker, bottle opener and “great bit Thank You,” or as much as $1,000, which gets you named Brewer for a Day.
