Thief Steals Camera, iPod From Church

The following information was reported by Evanston Police on Friday, July 26, 2013. Where arrests are included, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Arrests: Sex Offender, Retail Theft

Amy Paige Forman, 18, of the 400 block of Carriage Way in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she clothing from a store in the 900 block of Church Street at 9:06 p.m. Thursday, July 25, according to police.

Anthony Rasheem James, 22, of the 1600 block of Monroe in Evanston, was arrested and charged with failing to register as a sex offender at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the police station.

Zoe N. Pawelczak, 19, of the 400 blcok of Carriage Way in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she stole clothes from a store in the 900 block of Church Street at 8:41 p.m. Thursday, July 25, according to police.

Carl L. Rhodes, 54, was arrested and charged with battery at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, in the 1800 block of Lyons, according to police.

Timothy Smith, 54, of the 2100 block of Church Street, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at his home on Friday, July 26, police reported.

A 28-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, according to police.

Aggravated Assault On Emerson

A woman threatened her victim with a knife at Emerson and Laurel at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, according to police.

Thief Steals Camera, iPod From Church

Someone stole a Canon camera and iPod that were left unattended at a church in the 1900 block of Dewey Avenue between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, police reported.

Bike Theft On Maple, Foster, Wesley

Someone stole a Schwinn bicycle with a water bottle holder on its frame that was locked to a storage rack in the 1500 block of Maple Avenue between 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, according to police.

Someone stole a black kids Chopper bicycle from a garage in the 1800 block of Foster Street between midnight and 6:19 p.m. Thursday, July 25, police reported.

Someone stole a dark purple bike with a black basket and white pattern on its seat that was left unlocked on a porch in the 1700 block of Wesley Avenue at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, July 25, according to police. 

Windshield Damaged On Sherman

Someone damaged the windshield of a 2013 Kia parked in the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue between 2 and 6 a.m. Thursday, July 25, police reported.
