Burglar Steals Batteries From Basement

A resident of the 800 block of Judson Avenue found a man in the basement stealing 12-volt batteries, a black Craftsman drill battery and a charger at 12:10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, police reported.

A man stole a coach wallet while talking to someone at the Evanston Public Library between 3 and 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, according to police.

Car Burglar Breaks BMW Window On Kedzie

Someone broke the window of a 2011 BMW parked in an apartment lot in the 500 block of Kedzie Street between 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, and 1:06 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, according to police. Nothing was reported missing.

Man Steals Nintendo Wii From Department Store

Alvin Aaron Easter, 56, of the 6100 block of North Mozart Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he stole a Nintendo deluxe 32 GB Wii gaming system and PS3 headphones from a department store in the 2200 block of Howard Street at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, according to police.

Man Charged With Domestic Battery

A 50-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 3:14 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, according to police.
