Two Arrested On Drug Charges

Oscar Daniel Cortes, 18, of the 6300 block of North Whipple in Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:58 a.m. Friday, June 28, according to police. 

Luis Adrian Herrera, 22, of the 1600 block of Washington Street in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis at 10:46 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, in the 600 block of Sheridan Road, according to police.

Gunfire Reported on Judson, Fowler

Evanston police investigated a report that someone fired a gun at Judson and Keeney at 9:10 p.m. Saturday, June 29. Nothing was found in the area.

Battery Reported On Howard

Two men punched their victim’s face in the 300 block of Howard Street around 5:45 p.m. Saturday, June 29, according to police. 

Thief Steals Tan Tahoe With Chrome Rims

Someone stole a tan 201 Chevrolet Tahoe with custom chrome rims and the license plate number 7432524 from the 700 block of South Boulevard between 9 p.m. Thursday, June 27, and 6:45 a.m. Friday, June 28, according to police.

Burglaries On Sheridan, Forest, Hartzell

Someone entered an unlocked garage in the 700 block of Sheridan Road and stole a Verizon cell phone between June 20 and 28, police reported.

Someone stole an Apple laptop computer, cash, keys and a Coach leather purse from an unlocked home in the 1100 block of Forest Avenue before 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, according to police.

Someone entered an unlocked garage in the 2600 block of Hartzell Street and stole cash between 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, and 5 a.m. Friday, June 28, according to police. 

Windows Broken, Damaged in Car Burglaries

Someone broke the window of a 2003 Toyota parked in the 1000 block of Michigan Avenue at 8:51 a.m. Friday, June 28, according to police.

Someone damaged the window of a 2009 BMW parked in the 2600 block of Orrington Avenue and stole cash between 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, and 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, police reported. 

Someone damaged the window of a 2012 Mazda parked in the 2000 block of Orrington Avenue and stole cash, a GPS and wallet between 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, and 8 a.m. Friday, June 28, according to police.

Someone damaged the window of a 2009 BMW parked in the 2600 bock of Orrington Avenue and stole cash and a garage door opener between 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, and 7:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, police reported.

Theft: Cell Phone, Duffel Bag, Bicycle, Bike Parts

A man stole a Samsung mobile 16 GB cell phone that fell out of someone’s pocket at a business in the 2400 block of Main Street at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, June 29, according to police. 

Someone stole a multi-colored women’s duffel bag that was left unattended in a yard in the 800 block of Michigan Avenue between 3:55 and 4 p.m. Sunday, June 30, police reported. 

Someone stole the bike seat from a bike on a storage rack in the 900 block of Davis Street between 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, and 12:50 a.m. Sunday, June 30, according to police.

Someone stole Trek lights and a rack from a bike locked to a storage rack in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 5:05 p.m. Friday, June 28, according to police.

Someone stole an AT&T Apple cell phone from a hospital in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, June 28, police reported. 

A man stole from a drug store in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, June 27, according to police.

Someone stole a Haro blue racing bicycle that was locked up in the 1100 block of Hull Terrace at 3 p.m. Friday, June 28, police reported.

Three men stole a Samsung cell phone in a black case between 3:20 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Custer Street and South Boulevard, according to police.

Criminal Damage

A man cut the wire to the backyard light of a home in the 1200 block of Oak Avenue between 2 and 4 p.m. Friday, June 28, according to police. 

Someone spray-painted the driver’s side of a 2001 GMC parked at Church and Hartrey between 4 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, according to police.

Someone damaged the living room window of an apartment in the 1900 block of Dodge Avenue between 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, and 12:17 a.m. Friday, June 28, according to police. 

Someone damaged the windshield of a 1997 Oldsmobile parked in the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue between 4:45 and 5 a.m. Sunday, June 30, according to police.
