Vehicle Slams Into Evanston Hair Salon: Report
A woman accidentally stepped on the gas while parking her car in front of the salon, crashing into the building.
EVANSTON, IL — A car crashed into the front of a Great Clips hair salon in Evanston Wednesday morning, according to a report from CBS News.
At around 10 a.m., a 2013 Subaru Forester crashed into the front of the salon at 2432 Main St., according to police. The driver, an 84-year-old woman, was parking right in front of the store said she accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake and surged forward.
No injuries were reported in the crash and the building didn't sustain any structural damage.

Following the crash, the salon closed while crews boarded up the damaged storefront.
