Woman Found Dead At Evanston Township High School Campus Identified

The medical examiner's office ruled the woman's death to be a suicide.

EVANSTON, IL — The woman who was found dead on the campus of Evanston Township High School has been identified as an Evanston resident.

Kathy Judge, 63, lived across the street from north side of the high school, where her body was found shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

"An ETHS staff member reported that an adult, not high school aged, body was found near an outdoor field of the school," according to a statement from district officials explaining that classes were to go ahead as planned.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday to determine how Judge died, which police said was "not evident" from the scene.


Update: The medical examiner's office ruled Judge's death a suicide Wednesday. Police said there were no indications of foul play and the investigation confirmed she had no affiliation with ETHS.
