EVANSTON, IL — The woman who reported that she fought off a kidnapping attempt on her way to work last month in Evanston is accused of lying about the incident.

Tianna Moore, 18, of Evanston, has been charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with her Jan. 23 report that two attackers got out of a car and grabbed her in the 1200 block of Fowler Avenue, police said.

Moore told police that she was able to free herself and flee on foot to her job in the 2400 block of Main Street, where officers were dispatched about 20 minutes after the purported attack, according to Evanston police.
