Zagat Names Edzo’s Burgers Best In Chicago

Zagat Guide staff decreed that Edzo’s Burger Shop makes the best burger in Chicago, according to the restaurant guide's list of “America’s Best Burgers.” 

For the list, Zagat staff named the best burger in each of 25 cities, including Boston (Mr. Bartley’s), Denver (Crave Real Burgers), Los Angeles (Golden State), New York City (Burger Joint), and of course, Chicago, where Edzo’s Burger Shop, 1571 Sherman Ave., serves “simply awesome” burgers with “to-die-for” fries and “transcendent” shakes, according to the guide.

Patch readers think Edzo's is great, too. In our Readers' Choice poll this summer, Edzo's Burger Shop was the clear winner for best burger in Evanston, taking 62 percent of the vote.
