Retail Theft


Antonio Harvest, 19, of the 8200 block of South Emerald Avenue, Chicago, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. He is accused of stealing two DVDs and four Nintendo games, worth $94.80 in total, at about 6:56 p.m. in Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St

Carson's Theft


Darlene Moore, 65 of the 9800 block of South Winston Avenue, Chicago, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of taking clothing worth $261.72 from Carson’s, 9700 S. Western Ave.

MONDAY, MAY 27

2 Charged With Pot Possession


Ruben Zavala-Gonzalez, 19, of the 3900 block of West 76th Place, Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with expired registration and driving without insurance, according to a report. Police stopped a car at about 12:55 a.m. near the intersection of 87th Street and Rockwell Avenue for having expired registration.

An officer reported smelling an odor of marijuana coming from inside the car, according to the report. Police allegedly saw a blunt in one seat of the car when Ruben Zavala-Gonzalez and two passengers exited. A search turned up a bag with a green leafy substance inside and a homemade bong, in addition to the blunt.

The passenger, Lewis A. Nunez, 19, of the 4400 block of South Washtenaw Avenue, Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana, according to the report. A third man was released without charge.
