2 Robbed At Gunpoint On 95th Street In Evergreen Park and Oak Lawn
Two people were robbed at gunpoint in seperate incidents Monday leaving businesses on 95th Street in Evergreen Park and Oak Lawn, cops say.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL — A person was mugged leaving a business in a string of armed robberies that hit 95th Street in Evergreen Park and Oak Lawn Monday evening.
Just after 8 p.m., Evergreen Park officers answered a call for an armed robbery that just happened in front of PLS Check Cashers, 2507 W. 95th St. Police said the person was confronted by a man brandishing a handgun.

The purported robber took off with the person’s valuables, driving a stolen black Dodge Durango westbound on 95th Street, police said. A few minutes later, a vehicle was found smashed behing a buiding in the 4800 block West 95th Street. The same suspect is believed to be involved in both incidents. Evergreen Park and Oak Lawn police are working together on the investigation.
There is no indication that these incidents are tied to the armed robbery that also happened around 8 p.m. Monday at the AT&T store, Oak Lawn police said.
