3 Men Rob Jewelry Store At Gunpoint in Evergreen Park

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Three armed robbers held up a jewelry store Saturday afternoon in Evergreen Plaza, police said.

At 1:44 p.m., Evergreen Park police officers responded to an armed robbery call at Kay Jewelers, 9656 S. Western Ave. Employees told the officers that three men entered the store brandishing handguns.

The three robbed the store of cash and an unknown amount of jewelry, police said. The men fled the store in a gray or silver smaller SUV in an unknown direction.
