EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Thousands of Evergreen Park residents turned out Friday for the Independence Day Parade’s strut down 95th Street.

The Evergreen Park Community High School marching band put on an awesome performance of the “Star Wars” led by the graceful flourishes of the EPCHS flag team.

In addition to youth sports teams and parishes, there were Disney Princesses, clowns and a Shriner on a Segway.

The evening was topped off by fireworks at Duffy Park, so everyone can still go celebrate America’s birthday with family and friends later this week.
