Stroll the streets of Evergreen Park this weekend to admire local gardens of all types and sizes.  The Blossoms for Books Community Garden Walk fundraiser is set for Sunday, Aug. 7.     Participants will step off from the Evergreen Park Public Library, 9400 S. Troy Ave., for a a self-guided tour of 10 gardens of all varieties. Advanced admission is $10 per person and day-off admission is $12 per person. The walk is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.    For reservations, call <a href="tel:%28708%29%20422-8522" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">708-422-8522</a> or visit <a href="http://evergreenparklibrary.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">the library's website</a>. Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Job Description: Help clean and remove odors from personal belongings after fire, smoke, or water damage. This job is careful, detailed cleaning that helps families get their homes and items back to normal. The work is Monday&ndash;Friday at our Alsip, IL office with a mostly women-led team in our contents cleaning room, where items brought to our facility are cleaned and deodorized. Sometimes the team goes to customer homes to clean walls, floors, furniture, and remove odors. If you have experience in housekeeping, hotel cleaning, hospital cleaning, residential cleaning, or maid services &mdash; and you like clean, careful work &mdash; this job is a great fit. Supervisors and cleaning managers from these areas are welcome to apply too.

Must-Haves:
<ul><li>Live within 20 minutes of Alsip, IL &ndash; local candidates only</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Reliable car to get to work in Alsip every day.</li><li>Good attention to detail &mdash; you notice small things</li><li>Respectful and comfortable working in customers&rsquo; homes</li><li>Able to lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods</li><li>Candidates with experience in housekeeping, hotel cleaning, hospital cleaning, residential cleaning, maid services, or upholstery cleaning are encouraged to apply.</li></ul>
Nice-to-Haves (we&rsquo;ll train):
<ul><li>1+ year of professional cleaning experience</li><li>Experience with detailed cleaning (homes, hotels, hospitals, offices)</li><li>Bilingual English / Spanish a plus (not required)</li></ul>
What you&rsquo;ll do:
