EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The owners of a popular Evergreen Park restaurant announced on Facebook that they had been burglarized early Saturday morning.
Around 3:40 a.m., security cameras captured two people throwing a brick through the front glass door of Pappy’s, 3301 W 95th St., Evergreen Park. Police said the pair emptied the cash registers of $400. The restaurant owners told police that the burglars also stole the jar of employees’ hard-earned tip money. The restaurant was closed at the time of the break-in.
Video shows what appears to be two men keeping their faces down to avoid being captured on security cameras. Both are wearing oversized hoodies with writing on the back, pulled down low around their heads.
