Evergreen Park Motorcyclist Sentenced to 3 Years for Striking, Killing Pedestrian

The man pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the 2015 incident.

An Evergreen Park man who pleaded guilty last week to striking and killing a 25-year-old pedestrian with his motorcycle has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Charles Lyons was 20 years old on Oct. 19, 2015 when he, "was speeding on his motorcycle between stopped cars" on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago and struck a man and woman in a crosswalk, reported Q-C News. He was charged with aggravated reckless driving resulting in bodily harm and reckless homicide.

He will receive credit for the 288 days he's so far served.
