Evergreen Park police will be focusing on seat belt compliance during the Memorial Day holiday through the early morning hours of May 27.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — The Evergreen Park Police Department is partnering with the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois State Police and other local law enforcement agencies to step up enforcement efforts across the state to increase occupant protection during the Memorial Day holiday.

Stepped-up patrols will be seen throughout Evergreen Park through the early morning hours of May 27. During this period, officers will be paying special attention to seat restraint laws.

The enforcement effort is made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the IDOT and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
