The Nicor Gas Community Connection Resource Fair recently made a significant impact in Evergreen Park, where over 250 families benefited from an array of support services. This event, organized by Nicor Gas in collaboration with Top Box Foods, Illinois State Senator Willie Preston and Mayor Kelly Burke, aimed to provide essential resources and community care to local residents.

The fair was a hub of activity, offering free groceries and a variety of vital services. It was made possible through the concerted efforts of numerous local organizations and volunteers. A special acknowledgment goes to key partners including Cook County Health, Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County, Inc. (CEDA), South Suburban Housing Center the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs and The Salvation Army, whose support was crucial to the event's success.

Since the inception of these resource fairs in 2023, Nicor Gas has been able to assist nearly 8,000 customers and their families, providing them with food and essential services. This initiative underscores Nicor Gas's commitment to ensuring the safety, support and connectivity of its customers.
